Members    Top
Members is basically just a list of all the members of this website, depending on your user class you will be able to see other members email address and other information such as their last visit to the site, date joined and so on.

The Members menu will show a list of all members signed Up to this Website, NOTE: this may or may not contain email address of members, each member decides if they want to show their email address or not. to change your email setting login to the site select the settings option below where it says Welcome "Your Username" this will take you to your profile page here you can edit all aspects of your profile, if you want to show your email address to other members Check or uncheck the tic box [hide]
 
Submit News    Top
The submit news area will allow authorized member "class" to submit news and information to this webSite, after inserting a news item it will be listed on the main web page in the lower section of the main page, this item should be reserved for information that pertains to most or all members of the web site, if it pertains to only a few individuals than the forum may be best suited for your post.

About Our Quotes    Top
Our quotes come from a custom plain text file of quotes that currently have around 1400 quotes that are randomly selected at each page load, new quotes are added, adding quotes is a manual process of editing the text file located in the root.

Trivia    Top
Trivia is a multiple game, in the future we will be adding gg0y  trivia questions, asking such questions as who started the g0y movement and other question pertaining to the g0y movement, currently as of this writing we are developing a series of questions last updated (March 25th 2010) check back soon...

Mailing List    Top
You can subscribe and unsubscribe to the domainaname.com mailing list at anytime, subscribing to the list will allow you to send email to everyone on the list at one time, for instance, you have something to say to the group that you want to start a discussion on for instance "president" and what it means for you, simply send a message to the email list and everyone on this list will receive an email about your new "president" topic, other members of the list can now reply to your original message and open up a discussion via email, you can continue the conversation VIA email for as long as you like.

Message Numbering: Top
Each reply to an original message will be numbered in sequence, so if one person replies to your original message it will be marked (01) if a second person replies it will be marked (02), if a new thread is started the numbers start over with (01), (02) and so one, if a member replies to message (02) the replied message will then be marked as (02-1), (02-2) and so on.

Who can send messages to the list Top
only verified list subscribers can send messages to the list, you must also use the same email address that you used when subscribing to the list to send mail to the list, message from email accounts not on the list will be blocked, this is a closed list only subscribers can send and receive emails.

Live Chat    Top
Chat live with our live chat feature, we use several differnt versions of chat scripts, sometimes we use flashchat developed by tufat.com, and other times we use 123dlashchat, note:you must be logged in to this website in order to use the chat feature, talk live with other members when available or on line.

Schedule Chat Top
Schedule your own live chat session using the calendar function, Click Calendar > click [Enter New Event] Enter a start time and end time, enter start date and end date of your availability, fill in the title  and a description (optional) and last select a category from the drop down list. NOTE: time's for the calendar are in the posters time using the 12 hour clock.

Private Messaging Top

Private messaging is a great way to communicate with other members who wish to keep thire identity hidden from others, their are limits to the number of PM (private message) that can be stored, Members can send and recieve up to 10 PM's, while other classes can send upt to 20 incoming and outgoing, all others such as admin and sub admin can send unlimited. Note, their may be other classes with different amounts.

Subscribe to categories, if you subscribe to a category, each time a new chat event is created you will be notified of such event
Private chat session are also available where only you and another person who has or you have invited into a private chat session.

Avatar    Top
To upload an avatar to your profile, on the main page click on [Settings] > on the next page (bottom) click either select or upload, avatars are used in post such as forum post, if you would like oter members see a phoot of you on your profile,   you must use the Profile Photo option below.

Profile Photo    Top
To upload a photo to your profile, on the main page click on [Settings] > on the next page click upload photo tp profile, click Brwoes to find the image you wish to use from your own computer.

Delete Account Top
To delete your account, on the main menu "top right" select "Delete Account" you must be logged in the site to perform this action, you will be asked to verify that yuo wish to remove yourself from our site, PLEASE NOTE: all data i.e. forum post, chat box, New Post and any other day that yuo have entered will remain on the site indeffinutly, the only thing that is removed from our site is your login information, such as name, password, avatars, photos, and all other frofile information.

Tag Cloud Top

the tag cloud is a simple search utility normally located somwhere on the main page, in this cloud is a list of "Tagged" and clickable searchable content, anyone with the right userclass can add content to the tag cloud simply by selecting "Add Tag" in
forums, News, pages of this website. note: the tag cloud may be named somthing differnt on this site.

Mentor/Mentoring  Top

The mentoring system is still in the trial state, while we currently have a simple yet barbaric approach to this idea, we are working on a new system to handle this concept, and the original idea for the mentoring system came from one of our members and admins of the board, so please be sure.

To find a mentor, simply follow the link "Mentor Finder"  from here ou will be able to search for a mentor that best fits your needs, every mentors may have different abilities and skills so select one that best fits your needs.

Become a mentor Top
To become a mentor is simple, simply send a PM or an email to The Main Admin of this website requesting that "Mentor Class can be added to our profile. your request will be filled by one of the admin members.

Recipe's is a place to add old and new recopies, any member can add there own, so place your old time favorites today and share them with the rest of us today.

File downloading, we have some files such as this Instruction Manual in PDF format that will be in the download section, you may from time to time be asked to go here and download certain files and or programs for use of the site or manipulations of photos and other utilities.

Uploads Top
File uploads is for uploading files to this website, Please note any file uploaded will need to be approved by an administrator once submitted, this helps in preventing malicious attempts to bring down or crash or other wise keep virus's and ad-ware from the site, once scanned and approved the file will then be moved to the download area for others to see and or download (DO NOT USE THIS FOR PHOTOS) photos have another section better suited for this and will be explained later in this document, see photos albums below for more info on Photos.

Newsfeeds/RSS Top
Newsfeeds are useful for linking or supplying information i.e., New post or news items from another site, you can use newsfeeds on your own personal site or any site, if you need help in implementing newsfeeds or rss feedsfrom another site please contact the main administrator of this site

Site Stats Top
Site stats is just as the name implies it's statistical data about this website such as Number of visits, number of unique visitors based on the IP address of the visitor, screen size and resolution, operating systems used, visits today, monthly or to date

Web-Mail Top
Web mail is used by members who wish to have an email account from the domain name being used, Example: [yourname@domainname.com] anyone interested in a free email account may request one by either sending a message to the main administrator of this site  or by PM (private message) you may also use your new email account in outlook using POP Mail, we will send you information on how to set this up in outlook express, Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, or 2007 at your request only, or offer help with other email clients.

eCards Top
The eCard system can be used to send ecard to both members and non members alike.
To use, simply select the image you wish to use along with a predefined poem and also some music of your
liking. filling the To box with the recipients first name and the recipients email address in the Address field, fill in yuor personal note in the box provided and click send, other options include to be notified when the receiver picks up their card.

Calendar Top
Our calendar offers a place to post special dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, events and reoccurring events, this is helpful in planning for common activities for our members, and each member can post their own notes to dates of interest or add your own dated material of anything of value to other members or of interest.

The Future of Photo Album (coming soon)
Photo Gallery will be totally rewritten for this Website. we will preserve the current functionality, but  will add the following and most wanted functionality:

•    Image title, description, comments and rating
•    Better developer and new communication API
•    Better User Albums and management
•    More interactive default view
•    and much more...

Viewing Photos Top
Here s how to view the family Names albums, on the main menu click [Galleries] highlight [Gallery] click [Select Gallery] you are now in the main album here is where you will find all the albums available, click on one of the [Galleries] that you wish to see, a new screen opens with 12-24 images per screen, click on the first image in the group this will open a popup windows with that image in full view, to go to the next image in this group click somewhere on the right hand side of the image currently in view.

Slide Shows Top
To play a slide show of your selected album do as mentioned above, on the very bottom of the first image you will see a play button, click this and all images on this page will display in a slideshow and will continue to play until you click somewhere outside of the slide show.
 
Personal Albums Top
Each member is allowed a personal photo album, to create your own follow the steps below

Step-1: Log on to this website
Step-2: Click on [Galleries] > [Gallery] > [Select Gallery] Click [New] in the drop down list select [none] unless you want your personal album under a particular albumb name already exsisting, Give your album a Title Example [Bozo;s Album] in the description field, fill out a description of your personal album (optional) click [Save]

Congratulations, your personal album is now created.  

After your album is created on the very bottom of the next screen is where you can add any photos to your personal album select [Browse] to find the photo on your own computer to upload, you can also click on [new field] to add up to 10 photos to upload at once, depending on how many images you add this could take a few minutes.

That’s it, have fun and please start using your new photo gallery today, and most importantly, start today and have fun with it…

User Blogs Top

User blogs allows members of this website to support individual journals for registered/logged-in users. Each user gets their own journal, and can write, edit, and delete their entries. Admin has the option of totally disabling User Journals, as well as restricting access to logged-in users only.

Features:

    * Individual journals for individual users
    * Journals can be limited to specific users by
user class
    * Journals viewing can be limited by user class
    * Journal entries can be commented on by others

Change Password    Top
Changing your user password is fairly easy, just click [Settings] on the next page, change your password, you must enter it twice to verify that you know what it is.

Change Username    Top
You may also change your username, this is only the display name of your account, your login name will remain the same, this name change will allow other members to see your newly created username.
To change your username Click [Settings] chnage your Screen name, please note, your log in name will remain the same, on the name that gets displayed will change, also note: this option may not be available to all members.

FORUM POST NOTIFICATIONS
To receive email on forum post, you can only get notifications on threads that you yourself start, when creating a new thread the tic box will be (ON) by default [notify me when a reply is posted], if you wish not to receive notifications simply un-tic this box.

CHAT BOX, NEWS & COMMENTS NOTIFICATIONS

To be notified with new NEWS items or CHAT BOX post, go to your profile settings page and tic the box for [Notifications]
.
Note: if you do not see this as an option in your profile, it simply means you do not yet have the [certain] member class, if you wish to have notifications, you may request to be at the [certain] member class level, the [certain] class is normally reserved for members taking an active role within this website, you can get this class level by simply posting 2 significant (meaningful) forum post or 5 (meaningful) chat box post.

Please note: any post created just to get this higher member level will be subject to your post being removed, it may also leave your account in jeopardy

PHOTO GALLERY on/off Top
To turn/off the photo gallery check the [Gallery] tic box for on, un-tick it for off.to get to your profile settings page, on the main page click [Settings], this will bring you to one page of your profile, here you will see both the notifications and gallery setting options.
